Students practiced the numerous techniques for
emergency bail out from upper floors.  Here, the very
simple 'friction method' is used to escape simulated
untenable conditions.
Simply using the rope as a friction device around your
waist will get you out in a hurry, still allowing you to
control the speed of your descent.
Crews review the procedures for emergency egress of
upper floors using ground ladders.
The thermal imager.  Don't leave home without it.
Ray Foster oversees the vertical ventilation class.  It is
important to conduct rapid ventilation of a building in
support of any RIT operation.
