INTERESTED IN BECOMING A MEMBER?
In order to join Northern Virgina FOOLS, you must be sponsored by an active member, or
attend an official Open Enrollment Event
(You just missed our Bash) usually held once a year.  
Check back in the near future for more information on
another 2008 Open Enrollment Event.  

Membership dues for the first year is $20.00.  Ten dollars goes to the International as a ONE
TIME membership fee, and the other ten dollars goes to the Northern Virginia Chapter.  Yearly
dues to the Chapter are $20.00 to keep your membership current and are due April 1st of
each year.  Dues go directly back to you, the membership, to offset the costs of training, trips,
and other social events held through out the year.  A small price to pay to be part of a great
organization dedicated to preserving  fire service tradition world wide.

You must currently be a career, part-time, volunteer, or retired firefighter from one of the
following fire departments:  Fairfax County, Arlington, Alexandria, Prince William County,
Loudoun County, Fairfax City, Manassas City, Quantico, Fort Meyer, Washington Metro Airport
Authority, Fort Belvoir, DCFD, and Fauquier County.  You must be a 'firefighter',
'firefighter/EMT', or 'firefighter/Paramedic'  to be considered for membership.  And yes, this
includes all officers.
 Members of other departments may join too!
Either way...you MUST be a firefighter

MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION
STEP 1:  Please fill out and submit Northern Virginia Fools Chapter application below.
STEP 2:  Use the PayPal button to make your $20 membership donation.
STEP 3:  Only if membership is approved and you are notified via email, print out
International's application (pdf file) and bring to the next meeting so
we can send it in for
you
.  This is the only way to receive your Fools International Membership Card.

We consider every applicant for membership.  If we accept your request for membership,
you will be notified via email.  Once Northern Virginia FOOLS receives your application, the
Executive Board (E-Board) reviews it and it is voted on by the current membership.  If your
application is denied, and you used PayPal (in Step 2) your membership fee will be returned
to you via mail.  Filling out the application below does not guarantee membership.  Any
questions or comments, please see a member of the E-Board, or drop us an
email.
